Printer Profiling--measuring target

Postby Tgarrett » Mon Jul 28, 2008 10:21 pm

I recently acquired SF Ai with printer calibration. I have made 2 profiles and had some
problem getting a target measurement but readjusting the scan lines fixed the problem.
However, I am attempting a new profile today and I'm unable to readjust the lines and
get a target measurement. Can anyone suggest what I might try to fix the problem?
Thanks
Tom

Dear Tom,

what do you mean with adjusting the lines ?

normaly the printer calibration is designed to be a straight forward process and you just need to have an allready it8 calibrated scanner and then got through
the PrinterCalibration Wizzard.

Please tell mae at which step of the calibration you got Problems and I help you.

Thomas, thanks for our reply. By "scan line" I mean the red lines around the
prevew area. I have let the software do that automatically and then when I get
the error box that says to re-adjust the frame on the preview area, I have done
that. However, I coud find no clear directions on exactly where the frame lines
are supposed to be in relation to the actual target image. So, the step giving me
problems is the "Measure Target Step". Any help will be appreciated.
Regards,
Tom
