I'm not very technical so I don't know if any of the existing posts apply.
I hadn't used my Silverfast for some months. When I restarted it recently, I found that the preview screen was partially obscured by the left-hand menu/functions box, however many times I restarted it.
Right-clicking on the "Maximise display screen" command failed to achieve any results.
What do I do to get back to normal function?

Re: Preview screen partially obscured
Dear customer,
did you undock any dilaogs?
In that case try double clicking the tools or toolbars top name bar.
That will dock the dialog again.
Otherwise the tool does not obscure the preview area.
Maybe your scaned material is not completly in the area which can be scanned?
This can for example be the case for flat bed devices which can not scan the entire area in transparency mode.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Preview screen partially obscured
Thanks for your reply, Arne.
The problem is not with the scanner which is an Optic Film 7300 and therefore not a flatbed.
I have tried to open a dialogue box to revert to factory settings but I cannot do that with my version of Silverfast.
The annoying thing is that when I last used it some months ago, it worked perfectly!
Kind regards,
Mike

Re: Preview screen partially obscured
Dear Mike,
Is the scanarea off to the left/right or top/bottom directions?
If it is left right the holder might not be correctly positioned.
If it is top/bottom you will have to contact Plustek.
This will require adjusting the sensor.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Preview screen partially obscured
Hi Arne,
I have tried everything you have suggested with no response.
I bought this system a few years ago to digitise my collection of 1000+ slides. I am now approaching the end of the project and will try and nurse the machine to finish it even if the results are not quite perfect. The system is showing a few signs of unreliability now but, fingers crossed, I can finish the project before it finally dies!
Thanks for your interest and suggestions.
Best wishes,
Mike
