Picture Settings Kill Preview

Postby RichardBriggs » Tue Apr 03, 2012 8:42 am

I have an OpicFilm 7600i with Silverfast (UScan-SE).8ba (vers. 6.6.2r5) on Windows 7.

I have scanned thousands of slides. But recently everytime I touch the 'Picture Settings' window it blanks the Preview area and nothing I can do will bring it back. I have to delete the frame and all previews and rescan (preview). And then remember not to touch the Picture Settings. Rebooting the system does not change the situation.

I don't know if this is a Plustek or Silverfast issue but I have upgraded Silverfast and the problem still remains.

Anyone got any ideas?

Richard Briggs

Dear Mr Biggs,

Please try updating your graphics card driver.

Have you tried deleting the Preferences in case those have been damaged?

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Thanks for the response. I don't get problems with any other graphics stuff on my PC so I am reluctant to do that (graphic card upgrades always seem to cause all sorts of problems generally). But what do you mean by 'Preferences'?

Regards
Richard

Dear Mr Biggs,

The preferences can be reset through the service dialog.
Take a look here
