G4 Mac OS 9.2 Photoshop 5.5 Silverfast 6(How do I tell what version?)
Microtek ArtixScan 120tf
When attempting to scan directly via the Silverfast application everything appears to work fine. I originally performed the calibrartion earlier with no problems.
When attempting to Import into Photoshop 5.5 I get a calibration error. How do i fix this?
Also I occasionly get an out of memory error. The machine has 1GB of RAM! Where does the actuall application live so that I can increase the memory partition for it?
Unfortunately upgradeing Photoshop or MacOS at this time is not feasible.

Photoshop 5.5 Can't Find Calibration
Moderator: LSI_Ketelhohn
Dear Cris
you can tell the version of SilverFast you are using from different sources, e.g. look at the title bar of the settings windows, click on the info-button in the prescan window, or look it up in SF_Logfile.
Does the "calibration error" occur all the time, often, rarely when you are trying to import to Photoshop 5.5?
In Mac OS 9 you need to tell the operating system how much memory an application might use. Locate the SF_Launcher within /Apps/Silverfast or /Apps/Lasersoft and Photoshop in /Apps/Adobe Photoshop and press CMD-I for info (or select "info" from the Finder "File" menu).
There you want to give the application much more memory than Mac OS usually reserves.
Furthermore, keep a look on the space remaining on the hard drive (or, to be accurate, the partition) Photoshop and SilverFast are using as a scratch disk for temporary files. You want to have at least one gig free.
