Outbound Traffic

Norton security states that there is a "large amount of outbound traffic" on my Dell PC and that "Silverfast 8.exe" is the cause. Is Silverfast 8.exe a bogus file? If I allow Norton to delete it will I lose my ability to use Silverfast scanning software?

please make sure to download SilverFast form our website.
SilverFast requires internet access to check for updates and to load the tutorial movies and help documents.
