Not enough Memory for prescan left!

I have the latest version of Silverfast Ai for my Epson 2450.

And every attempt to make a scan starts with the Error

Not enough Memory for prescan left!

I have a gig of Ram on my computer?

Help

Also Firewire has never worked .

Silverfast quite often crashes right after doing a prescan.

I have never had a period of good luck with this software...

Hello Daveb,

When you installed the software did you leave the box checked on the last screen of the installation, which installs the SCSI drivers? You might try un-installing and re-installing just to make sure that you un-check that box.

just FYI: Epson 2450 was just re-tested (OSX 10.4, Dual G5) and everything ran smoothly as expected.
