New user, Silverfast, new to scanning aswel.

Hi,

I'm completely new to scanning but have a lot of negatives I would like to get scanned, I have used silverfast a couple times before and when I bought a scanner of my own I wanted to get Silverfast too. This is probably a very basic problem but having downloaded Silverfast 8.8, when I started scanning there is a green tint over everything and on the 'white' rebait around the negatives. I'm not exactly sure what is wrong from the investigation I've done it is probably something to do with colour management but I'm not sure and I'm not very good with technology, hence why I shoot negatives!
Please give me some help, I feel very lost,

Dear customer,

Please make sure the red scanframe is set tightly around the image content.
If unesposed film material is inside the frame it will disturb the histogram. That can cause color casts.
