I am using an Epson 700 with Silverfast 8.0.1 r44 ( i also have an plustek8200i using silver fast on the same computer.)
While switching between photo and film scanning the option for negative scanning has gone grey.
I do not have the option to switch between reflective to transparency.
Any help appreciated.
Also if i upgrade does the file location stop going to default when i select all frames after pre scan very annoying.

Re: Negative option gone.
Dear Marcus,
Please check the cable connecting the transparency unit (in the lid) to the cassis of the scanner.
Shut down the scanner and SilverFast.
Then detach and re-attach the cable.
Restart the scanner and SilverFast.
The transparency mode should be available again.
If not please check if EPSON scan utility can scan in transparency.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Negative option gone.
Dear customer,
Make sure EPSON scan actually creates a scan.
It only recognizes an issue after you press the scan button.
Also check it is in transparency mode.
A disconnected transparency unit is the only known reason for the transparency mode not being available.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
