Multi Exposure NOT w

Postby khenke » Tue Dec 04, 2007 4:16 pm

Running a Plustek7200i, and the SE Plus version of the software, my resulting scans using the multi exposure feature are extremely dark. Almost appears that the software is not combining the lighter exposure scan. If I don't use this feature, scans are normal. Anyone else experiencing this and, if so, what was the fix?

Dear Ken

did you try updating, deleting prefs, so that we're on same grounds here?
I couldn't reproduce the problem mentioned in a short test.

If not, please don't hesitate to contact support: http://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html

Yes, I did delete the prefs file and I have the latest update of the software since I just purchased it recently. Yet, I still am having no success with this feature. What next? What other techniques can I try? Does this feature actually work with the Plustek 7200i? That is what I am curious to find out from readers on this group.

Anyone successful with the ME feature?

Postby khenke » Fri Dec 07, 2007 4:17 pm

As stated, I am having difficulty getting the ME feature to work with my Plustek 7200i, but is anyone having any success? I have read a thread or two discuss alignment issues, but I am having the resulting scan come out extremely dark. And no, Silverfast's tech support has been no help.

Still no resolution!

Postby khenke » Sun Mar 09, 2008 10:31 pm

Just thought I should inform everyone with a Plustek 7200i scanner, that the multi-exposure feature does not operate properly with SE Plus software. No resolution from LaserSoft for months. It is March 9, 2008

Dear Ken,

in my tests Multi-Exposure in SilverFast worked okay with the 7200i.

- What platform do you use: Mac or PC ? (which version?)
- Please tell me the serial number of your 7200i scanner

Best regards

I have the exact same issue with 6.6.0r1 only. It did not happen with previous versions! I have of course tried deleting pref. files (in fact I do every time I start a scanning session, because if I don't my 7200i doesn't even do a lamp warmup!!!). My driver is up to date. I can't same I'm very satisfied with ME...let's say that generally speaking, paying for something you can't use isn't a nice thing.

EDIT: As for my platform, I'm on Windows Vista 32-bit, and the S/N of my 7200i is 5A237B002695

Dear light-psycho,

please inform me about the platform you are working on (XP, Vista, OSX 10.4 or 10.5), so that I can check.
Thank you for your help.
