Multi-exposure file format restriction, improvement suggest.

Postby EMaerkel » Sun Apr 15, 2007 1:59 am

Unlike multi-sampling, multi-exposure has some file format restrictions associated, that means it can only be selected when using file formats with more than 8 bits (JPEG file formats with more bits per pixel cannot be handeled by most image processing software).
Although I am aware, that this function potentially generates more bits, it would be desirable having this function always available, independent of the file format selection, in order to allow its use as an enhanced multi-sampling. That means, processing in silverfast uses the full bit width of the raw data before it is stripped to the bit width of the file format.

Dear Eckart,

we are thinking about how to include this ...

Best regards
