Missing control panel

Hi Everyone,
I am a newcomer to your forum so please be gentle with me, I have been using photoshop for a few years with Ai version 6.2. A few months ago I upgraded my computer system which included Windows 7 and 64bit. This meant that my version of Silvefast was not compatable, so I upgraded to Ai Studio 6.6, it installed a dream and worked perfectly until the last few days. On launch one of the Silverfast windows is missing, the one with the controls on which includes calibration, I have tried un-installing and then re-installing to no avail. I notice on re-installing it no longer gives me the option to enter my serial number. Another problem I have is that my computer at work is not connected to the internet so I am unable to use the spanner button. If it make a difference my scanner is a Microtek 9800XL, any help would be appreciated,

Dear Alan,

have you tried deleting the preferences?
That should reset SilverFast and the window settings.

Dear Arne,
I will have a look at doing that when I get to work in the morning, I am not sure that it will work as I am not connected to the internet at work, only at home.

Deleting my preferences has cleared the problem, I am back up and running,
