Hello, I'm new to the world of scanning film and there seem to be a few topics on this so hard to find the info I need. I bought Silverfast mainly for the multi exposure function. When I scan with ME I get a noticeable blur/misalignment of the images. I have the scanner on a secure surface, have weighted the top of the scanner and I plan on ordering an aftermarket film holder. However if I turn off ME I can repeatedly scan and the images will align if I layer them in photoshop so I assume the problem is not movement of the film in the scanner.
Are there other known issues or fixes for this before I spend money on aftermarket parts?
I am using SilverFast SE Plus Version 8.5 (Epson Perfection V600 Photo / GT-X820)

Re: ME Multi Exposure Epson V600 Misaligned Blurry
Dear customer,
some scanners do not align the two scans well enough and the offset between the two gets too large.
In the SilverFast preferences' special tab you can find the "Maximum offset for ME alignment".
Try setting that to different values. A larger value will increase the area the alignment will search for marks to use for adjustment. This can improve the issue but might take slightly longer to process.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Would it be possible to have the option to export the 2 scans to separate files, or layers?
They could be aligned or edited manually in Photoshop.
