LAB Scan on Howtek D4000 failed and Error 2

I downloaded the new version 6.0.2r39 for my Howtek4000. If I scan as RGB everything ist fine. But then Iscan as CIE-LAB the image is terrible. See following image. Please help, because I ever scanned as CIE-LAB.

Additionally the application will close with error 2 then I press the selective colourcorrection button.

My configuration:
Silverfast AI 6.0.2r39
Powerbook G3
Howtek D4000
MacOS 9.2.2

on previous version all works fine.

I could not reproduce your result here.
- Do you scan to 24bits or to 48bits?
- Did you choose an internal profile? (AdobeRGB or which one?)
- Do you scan to Photoshop (directly in Photoshop) or to file?
Please also tell me the language version that you use.
