Job Manager

Postby Bartek » Sat Jun 13, 2009 11:09 pm

Hi,

I have a question regarding Job Manager. I have created my own frame settings (filter, resolution, image type etc.). When I add multiple frames to job manager, it asks me for settings of frames, when I chose my own setting it doesn't apply them. If I chose one of predefined settings (like image type: skin tone), it applies them. Am I doing something wrong?

I can apply my setting letter in Job Manager by going into Edit Parameters mode and changing setting but I have to do it separately for each frame.

Thank you for your answer,

Bartek

Dear Bartek,

you are right currently it is not possible to select custom Image Types during frame import to the JobManager.
I have added this to our feature requests.

You can however copy settings in the JobManager.

1. Select a frame and activate the edit mode. ([pencil]-icon)

2. make all changes you need.

3. Leave edit mode to save changes! ([pencil]-icon)

4. Select image image again and then select images (Ctrl+click on individual images or [select-all]-icon) to receive stored settings.

Hallo Arne Ketelhohn,

i have a similar problem which was described initially. But your work-around does not work for me:
After saving the desired frame size (full frame) in JobManager, I copy the settings via Image. (Copying settings is only possible when in edit mode - otherwise, the button is not active).
I select 'Scale' (actually all parameters).
Image
The full frame setting is not applied to the other selected frames - also the GANE-Filter is not applied as in the highlighted frame.
Is there a fix available this? I also would like to apply custom-presets.

Different issue: is it possible to scan frames bigger then 2.4x3.6cm (in height and length, to include the picture frame of the negativ)? Is it possible to scan two or more negative pictures in one frame - even the whole role seamlessley (36 pictures)? Is this a limitation of the scanner?

I use Silverfast Ai 6.4 with Reflecta Proscan 4000.

Thankx,
Dennis.

That is correct, it tells SilverFast which fram to use as the base setting.

Are you using the latest SilverFast update?
This works correctly in our testing center.

Yes.
First you have to set the frame around the image so NegaFix can adjust correctly.
Then deactivate the CCR and auto (expert settings) checkmarks in NegaFix.
Now you can resize the frame without further changes.

Please be aware that this version only works correctly up to Windows XP and OSX 10.4.

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
