Identifying correct reference file for Kodak Q60 target
Hi. This is my first day using SilverFast Archive Suite (Ver 6.6.1). My scanner is a Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 ED. My first objective was to set a calibration file for the Kodachrome target that I ordered with the software. This was successful. My second objective was to set up a calibration file for a Q-60 target ordered from a third party (specific identifying info on the target: Q-60E3 Kodak, IT8. 7/1-1993, 2009:11). This was unsuccessful. I suppose the reference file was not included with the installation disk. LaserSoft Q&A under "IT8 Calibration" instructs that the appropriate reference file can be located at: http://www.silverfast.com/english/download/index.html. How do you cross reference the files listed (e.g., under "35mm transparency, Kodak (batch measured)" is listed reference file "E011007" along with 74 more files in that category) with the information on the target transparency. Am I totally lost here or what?

Re: Identifying correct reference file for Kodak Q60 target
The reference textfile for third party targets have to be aquired from the manufacturer.
Automatic calibration and reference file acquisition is only possible with our own (barcoded) targets.
kind regards
Arne Ketelhohn.
