i900 Produce foggy image

Postby LSI_Ketelhohn » Fri Oct 25, 2013 2:09 pm

My i900 has just started to produce a foggy image. And I mean a real pea soup fog where the scanned image is just barely visible. The 'fog' seems to have a green tint to it. I have tried the scanner on different computers, both Silver Fast and Scan Wizard. I am using Mac OS 10.5.8 on a PowerBook G4 which has worked magnificently until a few days ago when all of a sudden the scanner started producing foggy images. Any ideas anyone? Repairable?

Dear zurmac,

Sorry I accidentially deleted your post and had to repost it.

Does this happen with transparencies?

Please check the calibration area of your scanner's tray.
Is it possible there is any disturbance.

Also make sure the tray drawer goes in all the way.
The internal calibration area is very sensitive to misplacement.

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
