When using the slide holder, I tell Silverfast to find all frames in the 35mm slide holder. But each time I do it, I get a this popup message
Brand new scanner - Epson 12000XL and Macbook Pro 10.12.4 - all software fully updated as of 4/4/17.
... Then sometimes silverfast will find the frames and sometimes it will just lay down 15 frames with a default spacing and no concern with the overlay on my frame holder. I've adjusted the location of the slide holder several times and have even removed one of them but I get the error no matter what I do. But when it does try to find my frame holder, it misses the scanned image by a little bit to the side, giving me a scan that's maybe 90% of my image and 10% of the holder. The Epson software that came with the scanner doesn't have this problem. It scans thumbnails of the slides just fine. Is there a setting I need to adjust?Frame detection off on each slide

Re: Frame detection off on each slide
Dear user,
Did you always place both film holders on the flat bed?
If you only use one holder at a time SilverFast will complain because it is missing the second holder.
Also in your picture one of the holders is placed in the wrong diretion.
The Markings on the older and the scanner's allignment bar must be facing each other. The two holders must be placed together and the sides with the right-agled corners must pbe placed towards the allignment bar.
Kind regards,
Arne

Re: Frame detection off on each slide
I'm having a similar problem that began when I updated. I'm also getting the error message but everything is in place correctly and in the same way I have always done it. Silverfast just won't find frames in the 35mm film holder any longer.

Re: Frame detection off on each slide
Please make sure you have the latest SilverFast update installed.
Make sure you are using the corresponding film/slide holder option and not the general film finding.
If that is already the case please contact us through the SilverFast Help menu by using the "Request online support" option there.
Kind regards,
Arne
