HI everyone, thanks in advance for the help. I just bought silverfast SE assuming it allowed me to perform multi-pass scans with my
minolta dimage scan III. If you have a look at the screen shot of Silverfast SE on the SE information page it clearly shows the button
to select multiple scans. here is a link to the page as well as a screen shot I took with the button circled so you can find it.
http://www.silverfast.com/show/silverfast-se/en.html
my question is: how come its shown there but not available to me once I've purchased it? am I missing something? in the event of it not being an option as seems the case, do I have to purchase Silverfast SE PLUS to get this feature at the full price or is there a reduced upgrade cost?
thanks again!

Dear lukasdp,
MultiExposure is only available in SilverFast SE Plus.
On an update you will get a refund for your original SE purchase.

Re: false info on Silverfast Web site & upgrade question
Dear lukasdp,
maybe you mixed up MultiSampling and MultiExposure.
MultiSampling (the icon shown) is a tool to reduce sensor noise.
MultiExposure (SE Plus only) is a tool to enhance the dynamic range of an image. This also reduces scanner noise.
Kind regards
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: false info on Silverfast Web site & upgrade question
thanks Arne, but I am thinking its the multisample, the issue I have is that particular button is not avalible to me useing SE standard - though its shown in the screen shot - the button is simply
not there on my SE version yet its shown in the screen shot SE version. I could take a screen shot of my SE program and you would see that button is missing....
why is it shown as an SE standard option if its not avalible when its purchased?

What kind of scanner are you using?
Some functions are hardewaredependent and are not available for all devices.

Re: false info on Silverfast Web site & upgrade question
its the Minolta Dimage Dual Scan III capable of up to 16 passes of the sensor. Using the trial of Silverfast I was able to scan as many times as I wished. Once I purchased it I lost this ability as it seems to be avalible only in the SE plus version. why its pictured in the SE standard version I have no idea. hence my mistaken assumtion I needed only to buy that one.

Re: false info on Silverfast Web site & upgrade question
On devices which do not nativly support multiscan this feature is only available in SEPlus.
We currently support more than 300 individual scanners with different options and features.
The images on the website can not represent every possible combination of options.

Re: false info on Silverfast Web site & upgrade question
understandable, however my scanner does support up to 16 - though its referred to as Mulit-pass. eitherway I will upgrade, thanks for all the help.
