error message cannot measure exposure values

Postby msklein » Wed Apr 14, 2004 3:47 am

Using Nikon 8000ed scanner. When I attempt to scan (pre-scan ok) I always get the message cannot measure exposure values. This occurs only with medium format film (6x45). 35mm film works every time. Have tried everything tech support has recommended with no sucess. Have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with the lastest version of silverfast, firmware is up to date. Nikon scan works normally. Have tried silverfast using the photoshop plugin and as a stand alone application with the same result. This has been going on since I purchased the software. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Desperate!

dear msklein

I don?t know which film holder do you use. I tested the LS 8000 with the holder FH-869S. If there was too much free space between the scan starting point of the film holder and the image, I got always the same error message like you. So please check this :o
