Epson V700 initial setup

Setting up the v700. I've loaded the silverfast 6 that comes with it. Do I have to install the epson scanner software too? or can I just use the silverfast software. I am currently using photoshop elements 10 if that matters

Dear customer,

Yes, SilverFast requires the latest EPSON drivers to be installed.
