Hi,
I am using an Epson Perfection V700 with Silverfast SE (latest edition) and windows 8.1. After a few hours of scanning the scanner status bar says "epson error". Reloading the software and switching the scanner off and on solves the problem. Is this a known bug that will be fixed via a driver update or might something else be causing it.

Re: Epson Error
Dear customer,
That message is shown when the scanner sends an unidentified error.
Make sure yo have it connected directly by USB.
(Do not use FireWire)
Also check for driver updates on the EPSON homepage.
In transparency ,ode it is also important to always mind the calibration area at the beginning of the glass plane (the first 2-3 cm viewed from the hinges).
Any obstruction here can cause an error.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
