Canon to a Epson

I have a old Canon F8400 scanner, bud hes died. Now is my question i buy a new scanner Epson Perfection V500 and i will use the serial for the new one. Bud this don't works.
Is there somebody they can help me with this problem. I won't buy another version to expensive. My question can i use the old serial for the new scanner?

You can not use your existing SilverFast License with a different device.
You will have to buy a crossgrade from our online shop.
This is available with a discount for your existing serial.
