First you create a filmstrip overview scan.
You select an image and make the necessary adjustments.
Then you mark (blue background) the images you want to scan.
(using Ctrl+click or Alt+click)
After that you long-press the scan button until the selection appears.
You select ADF scan and your chosen images will be scanned.

Re: Can't get batchscan to work on silverfast 8
you need to add a dialogue box (after the batch scan clic) so as to be able to name the sequential files in a more custom way (other than just (1),(2)....). That is just awful software design. Version 8 seems unfinished in these details. Look at the way the Apple Aperture software does it.

Re: Can't get batchscan to work on silverfast 8
Can I take this up and clarify further. If I want to make individual adjustments to each frame how do I make sure that Silverfast "remembers" each frame's adjustment. I have tried this and it just "remembers" the adjustments I have made to the last frame I adjust.

In SilverFast Ai Studio you can save individual frame settings and whole sets of rames in the frame dialog.
That way you can always recall saved frames.
SilverFast keeps the last settings you made and offers them again when you restart SilverFast.

Re: Can't get batchscan to work on silverfast 8
I have to agree that SF8 Ai Studio is quite a bit incomplete and very disappointed to see a company like LSI release a product before it is complete. I would love to know how to save individual frame settings and whole frame sets. Unfortunately, there is NO documentation available to review and study. So, would someone from LSI be so kind as to explain this in detail?
Also, is it possible to could get a "pre-production" copy of the documentation?

Frame settings and Frame sets can be saved through the Frame menu.

What is the difference between Frame Set and Frame settings. This is all very unclear. A manual is really needed

The settings store the settings for a frame you create (resolution, filters, etc.).
The Frame Set stores the size and location of all currently present frames.
