Batch scanning in Silverfast SE

Postby wildsnaps » Wed Oct 15, 2008 8:58 am

I recently purchased Silverfast SE (6.6.0r2) for use with my Minolta Scan Elite 5400 but I cannot seem to work out how to get the batch scanning to work. I have set the "Scan Mode" in the general settings to "batch mode (file)" and I have clicked the film-strip icon and previewed all four frames in the carrier, yet when I click on the scan button, it only processes one frame. Having trawled through various documents, it seems I need to somehow enter the Job Manager, although the icon for that seems to be missing. What am I doing wrong?

Kind regards

Simon

Dear Wildsnaps

You are doing everything correctly but are missing just one step, the first thing is to set SilverFast to make batch scans, then you open the overview window and press the play button to see all pictures included within the film holder, then you have to select all pictures you want to batchscan using the ctrl or shift (command key in Mac) and clicking the desired images, you will see that the background will be slightly greyed.
You can then close the overview window (with the images still selected) and then press the scan button to carry out your stapel scan.

Thank you very much for your interest in our products.

Have a nice day
