batch scan only scans one frame

Postby edvan22 » Tue Sep 16, 2003 8:47 pm

Polaroid SS4000
Win 2k SP4
SF 5.5

I just finished scanning a large quanity of negs using batch scan. The last roll had some special needs so I started to scan them to file frame by frame to adjust the color. Now when I try and go back to batch mode, it only scans one frame before saying batch end. If I change which frame is highlighted in the thumbnail picker, It will only batch scan that one frame. How do I tell it to scan the whole strip? Also is there a way to tell it to batch scan the first 4 frames when negs are cut in strips of 4 instead of 6?

Thanks,

ED

(my previous answer was wrong)

the Overview window may be defaulting to selecting only the first frame of the film.
to batch scan all of the frames of the film;
  • load the film
  • open the Overview window
  • click the Refresh button
  • click frame 1 then shift-click the last frame or press Command-A to select all frames. all of the frames should have white backgrounds.
  • click OK to close the Overview window and continue.

if you switch from a 4-frame strip of film to a 6-frame strip, you will need to reopen the Overview window and select all of the frames.

usually however, I open the Overview window and refresh the thumbnails after every film loading.

regards
Gregory
