Banding in scan result

I have been getting strange geometrical banding when I scan some old photos. They were originally shot on Kodak High Contrast Copy Film {long extinct] I will attach a screenshot/Users/terryletton/Desktop/Screenshop CCGoldM.png

Then you can link to it in your post.

This is an example of the problem. Could it be caused by isrd?
