B&W Transparency Problem

Postby SelbyJohn » Tue Oct 14, 2014 11:03 am

Hi

I am having problems scanning a series of black and white transparencies. The scan preview is fine, but the saved tif file has a strange distortion in the centre of the image. I did manage to obtain a single correct scan, but the rest were distorted. Sample of the distorted file attached.

I am scanning Agfa film on a Nikon Coolscan V ED, Silverfast v 8.0.1r54 build 12978

Please help!

Thanks

John

Dear John,

please deactivate the iSRD scratch and dust removal.
The silver halide emulsion of B&W film unfortunately blocks the infrared beam preventing a correction.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
