I've just installed the Silverfast 8 AI Studio that was bundled with my Braun FS120 scanner. I also ran a check for updates from the Help menu when I first ran it and it updated to version 8.2.0r2. The problem I have is that when I scan a 120 B&W negative, setting source to Negative and output to 16-bit HDR TIFF, the prescan correctly shows me a positive image, but when I actually perform the Scan, the TIFF file is saved as a negative. I have to open the scan in an image editor and invert the colour values to get what looks like a correctly scanned image. What can be causing this?
Both the CyberviewX software also bundled with the scanner and the copy of v**s**n I have produce both prescan and full scan positives with the same scanner.
B&W neg prescan positive, scan negative

Re: B&W neg prescan positive, scan negative
Dear customer,
The 16/32/48/64 Bit HDR(i) formats are archive formats.
These are saved unchanged for later processing in SilverFast HDR (Studio).
For processed output please use the 16->8 or normal 16 Bit output.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
