Ai crashes when using SRD and masks

I am using SF Ai 6.5.5r5 with Epson v750 to scan 35mm Kodachrome slides (12 slides on holder). Win XP PRO service pack 2 with 2GB memory. All functions working OK including IT8 calibration with Kodachrome Q60 target. Simple JobManager to process 12 slides works OK including basic SRD.

I tried to use a second layer in SRD to create masks to clean the sky; each slide needs a new mask because the picture is different. After several slides (3) and therefore several masks, SF crashes. All my work is lost when I start up again; all the layers and masks are gone. I am trying to prepare 12 slides for a JobManager scan.

we currently have a new update available for download which might help with your problem.

You might also try to reset your preference files:

as there might be an issue with your frame settings.

I seem to have the same problem. Silverfast 6.6.0r1 Ai (Mac os 10.4, reflecta crystalscan 7200) crashes with manual isrd + "längliche Kratzer". isrd alone works in manual mode. Resetting silverfast doesn't help.
Any suggestions?
