A question about the availability of upgrade to Silverfast 8

Hi,

I just purchased Silverfast 6.6 Ai just a couple weeks a go (thru the upgrade price from bundled SE version). By pressing the update button of the software I'm told that there is upgrade version 8 available. However while I input my serial number and email, I've got a error message. And I found the Silverfast only available in SE, SE plus and Studio version, but no Ai version. Is that the reason I've got the error message? Will there be a new Ai version? Will I qualify a free upgrade?

Dear Dustin,

As long as you have purchased after June 1, 2011 you get a free upgrade to SilverFast 8.
When your scanner is already supported you can exchange your old serial for a SilverFast 8 serial here.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried your link but the message said that my serial has been used for an upgrade already. However what I had done is only a paid upgrade from bundled SE to 6.6 Ai on 13 Aug. So why can't I have the free upgrade?

Dear Dustin

When you upgraded from SE to Ai 6.6 your SE serial number was invalidated. To upgrade to SilverFast 8 you need to use the new serial number you've got for Ai.
