6.6.or2 only lets me do 3 scans before hanging

Postby nurgle » Fri Aug 29, 2008 3:29 am

The latest version of SF i have is 6.6.or2 and it only lets me make two to three large scans (500 meg) before hanging and needing to be forced quit, and also hanging photoshop CS3 which I also have to reset (as well as turn of and on the scanner again)

what is UP.. it seems that evey time I get a new version of SF there is a new bug...???

This is very much the same as I have been getting which I have talked about on another post...I try to do a 500 mb scan and Silverfast keeps crashing..? with the term...' Cannot Measure Exposure Value'...?

I have forwarded this issue to our Testcenter for further testing.

In the meantime, can you please make sure the calibration area at the End of the scanning area is left free.
If the calibration area is blocked the scanner will produce an error like "Cannot Measure Exposure Value".

Can you also please test if the error still occurs when you use another connection type USB<->Firewire.
