(Missing) Picture setting SF8 vs SF6

Postby AlexvdZand » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:02 am

When scanning a positive in SF6 Ai studio I can change the exposure setting to make the scan lighter or darker.
But in SF8 I can't find this setting. Where is it?

Are you talking about the Exposure slider from the NegaFix Menu?
That is only available for negatives.

If you want to correct the brightness of slides you should use the Midtone slider in the Image settings dialog.

kind regards,

In SF6 their was an exposure slider (see http://www.bwstills.nl/temp/exposureslider_positives.jpg).
Now I use the midtone slider for my positives but is is not enough. The results are not so sparkle in SF8.
I hope, the picture settings as in SF6 are comming back in SF8 soon.

Best regards

You are right.
I forgot about that setting because I generally only adjust the Midtone values for most brightness adjustments.
I will forward this to our product management.

Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Many thanks. I'll hope they can fix this setting soon.
