and mac os 10.2 jaguar ??

yes, it is. Even with OS X 10.3 ('Panther') and 10.4 ('Tiger').

But please note a typical conflict when the Agfa firewire installer had been used and <a href="http://www.silverfast.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2404">how it is remedied</a>.
