Now it is telling me Invalid Serial Number

Perhaps I was too hasty.

I went back to the store and got the download but the software is telling me "Invalid Serial Number". I entered my name and serial number exactly as on the web page and e-mail and have checked it four times.

Well, I talked to the people in Florida and they think it is because the actual scanner model is an HP scanjet 4670 and not an 8250, although the demo version of the 8250 software worked fine (which is why we bought it).

They are supposed to check with the techs in Germany to see what if anything can be done.

Sigh.
