Demos are newer than the updates, is this correct?

Hi again,

I took a look around the german updates for Nikon LS 30 for Mac.
Just courios to see that the demo version is up to 5.5.2.d02, but the updates are only at 5.5.1r08. It?s not real a problem, i?m just exited about the improved neg.profiles i read about. Is there a special reason for having demos before the updates?

Updates for this scanner lag behind just a little bit, until a specific bug is hunted Latest ones should be available later today.

Thanks for the info, it?s nice to hear good news like this
Btw. A version history somewhere in the download section would be fine. Specially interesting is, what bugs are fixed in wich version, correspondig to wich scanner.
I know, such a file will be the hell for the editor , but so the customers know for the future if it?s worth to update, or if it doesn?t touch their specific scanner model.

1) The new 5.5.2 updates are online (very many today )
2) We are working on the versioning. At present version history is available at http://www.silverfast.com/show/history/en.html In future users will be able to subscribe for news specifying their scanner model(-s) and as soon as new updates are available they will get an alert together with summary what's new and a link to download.

I see things go on, this board seem to be a good example, on how companys and customers can cooperate in a very constructive way
