Hello,
I have a Plustek 7200i SE scanner and I am interested in the SE Plus version of Silverfast for its multi-exposure feature. I already have the plain SE version so I uninstalled it and deleted all lasersoft-related files as described in this forum.
When I install the "SE Plus multi-exposure" demo, I get the option to install the multi-exposure drivers...but when I start silverfast in photoshop CS2 (not TWAIN, but plugin), the version I have is...just the SE version. The multi-exposure button is absent, even in 48-bit HDR. 48-bit (normal) is greyed out. AND the filesize of this installer is the same as the SE installer I downloaded from your site in the first place...!!!
I don't wanna spend 84 bucks without testing the only feature I find interesting! Please help! And by the way I'm on Vista 32-bit.

Wrong DEMO

Dear light-psycho
thank you for your interest in LaserSoft Imaging's software products :)
If you already got a serialised version of SilverFast, the download will act an as update to the version installed.
To test the features of the upgrade as a demo version, please temporalily delete the serial number file.
The is most easily done by using SilverFast's service dialogue:
Please start SilverFast via the SF_Launcher. When "start automatically" is activated, the SilverFast plug-in will be started, too. Please close down the SilverFast programme while leaving the SF_Launcher opened.
Using Windows, now press the keyboard combination:
Shift+S+F
and click on the "Start" button of the SF_Launcher while keeping the keys pressed. Instead of SilverFast, the "Service Dialogue" window will appear.
Using a Macintosh, please use the combination Alt+Shift+S+F instead and click on "Start" to make the "Service Dialogue" come up.
This will allow you to delete the serialisation, the preferences, or to copy the SF_Logfile to the desktop.
This will change your SilverFast to a demo version, but also display all the feature you want to test.
After you have finished testing, you can either simply re-serialise and are back to status quo.
Or you may purchase an upgrade serial number to fully activate all features.
