wish to use 2 scanners 1 computer

I have a epson perfection v700 photo scanner connected via usb to a winxp 32 machine and silverfast se v6 software.
this is my system 1
I am pleased with the scanner and software. My scanning needs have increased.
I have expanded need and wonder if I can do the following.
I wish to add a system 2
ideally i would like 1 computer with 2 epson perfection v700 photo scanners - both connected via usb and I wish to use both to scan at the same time. I wish to run silverfast twice
1 to scanner 1 , the second to scanner 2

My Q is can i have 2 scanners both scanning at the same time?
would this require 2 lic installs of silverfast?
If so then -
What os , processing power might you suggest.

or do i have to always have only 1 scanner attached to 1 machine and can only do 1 at a time?

Dear zimbot,

you can install SilverFast for two scanners on one computer,
but it is not possible to work with both scanners at the same time.
The only way is to use two computers.
