Why no IT-8 target for Fuji Velvia?
Why no IT-8 target for one of the most popular slide films in the past 30 years.... And it is still in production???????

Dear Hassiman
Because you do not IT8 calibrate for a specific type of film, you calibrate the color response of the scanner.

Re: Why no IT-8 target for Fuji Velvia?
The spectral transmission curve of Velvia is very similar to the Kodak E6 film used for most IT8 transmissive targets. So no need for a specific Velvia target. Although if i remember correctly, there was an individually produced target service by Fuji for a few years. Terribly expensive for a very small gain i was told. Kodachrome, being a different dye technology, had a very different transmission curve and required its own target to properly profile the response of the scanner.
