I'm having color printing problems that I can't seem to
resolve. There is an overal green cast to my printing using Qimage.
I scan slides with a Nikon Coolscan 4000 using Silverfast 6 that is
calibrated. My monitor is a NEC 1810X (uncalibrated) and I print
with a Epson 1280 and utilize a Inkjetmall profile for Epson matte
heavy weight 1400dpi using Qimage.
The scanned image looks fine in Silverfast but when I print, I get a green cast.
The only time I get closer color correction is when there is no
color managment in Silverfast except for an embedded scanner
profile; but no color space icm.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Weird green cast printing problem

Sounds like you might need to boost the magenta curve for output. DId you try SF's color cast removal feature ? Are you setting white, black and neutral points in SF ?
Try the same workflow using an IT8 target as your slide. Verify that the RGB values in Photoshop are close to what they should be and then print and see how they compare for the patches that are within the printer's gamut.
Take a look at Ian Lyon's printing guide for color managed workflow with Epson printers.
Since you are not using a calibrated monitor, you are doing correction by the numbers ? Take a look at one of Dan Margules' color correction books. He does all of his work without a color managed workflow. It just takes some practice.
