Now Using Silverfast 6
I've been using Silverfast 6 for Nikon LS-2000 and Epson 800 for a couple of days now and find the new features are working well and are intuitive.
Mostly, I have had to scan a batch of Kodak black and white (TMY-400) negatives and am getting the best results ever - and easier than ever before.
Oddest part is that I get the best result using Negative profile:
Ilford-> TMY-> 400
I think this profile is filed in the wrong place since TMY is a Kodak product, but the profile Kodak-> TMY-> 400 is not very good so don't get rid of the mis-filed one.
I have one more suggestion for improving the next SilverFast...
On the credits page SilverFast 6 now has photos of Karl, Eric, Nils, Ralf and Martin... I'm trying to put this nicely... but some of you guys may scare off new users... How about an update with photos of Annie and Kitten?
