using SilverFast Ai for different scanners

I?m using the film scanner Reflecta ProScan 4000. Some people recommended me the use of SilverFast (instead of the CyberView scan software which came with the scanner).
I have 2 questions:

1.) My reflecta scanner doesn?t find the correct position of the pictures when I insert a film stripe. Does SilverFast have the possibility to transport the film manually to fine-adjust the location of the pictures?
2.) When I buy SilverFast for my Reflecta scanner, can I use this software also with other scanners, for example my Plustek flatbed scanner?

I don't know about question number one (1), but the answer to number two (2) is that you will not be able to use it for other scanners. SilverFast is tailored to each scanner like most scanning software bundled with scanners. LaserSoft tailors SilverFast to each scanner while maintaining a generally common interface across the board.
