I just installed SF6 and still getting up to speed on it. I do have to say that I'm very disappointed to find that the look and feel hasn't changed. I saw all the demos on the website and thought that the new appearance was for all platforms, not just Mac. In addition Ian's review says that it looks the same on both Mac and Windows. Did I load something wrong?

Indead, the user interfaces of the MAC and PC plugins are the same. However, the background of the dialogs may differ from platform to platform, since this is drawn by the system software. Maybe you have seen a MAC OSX plugin and maybe you are comparing it with a PC plugin.

What particular difference do you mean ?

I guess what I really mean is that the background looks the same as it did in AI5. Since that time, Adobe has updated the look of Photoshop with PS7, and Microsoft has updated it's look with XP. Since it appears that the Mac look has been updated to match the new Mac look, I'm wondering why Windows users haven't had their look also updated.

You said something about the system software doing the drawing the background. Does that mean that Ai5 and Ai6 looks the same on the Mac?

Yes, Ai5 and Ai6 have the same look as long as you use the same platform. We didn?t change the look between these two versions but have added a lot of features.

Maybe the confusion came from the Website demos. In the previous revision, most must have been with a PC. Now they must mostly be done using the Mac. It appeared that you finally updated the look, but it was only due to using a different platform. Oh well... Thanks.
