Upgrade SE to AI confusion

I wish to understand the price of an upgrade fron SilverFast SE to AI. There have been several posts on this topic & I beleive there is still confusion among both customers & LaserSoft. Ok, at least among me. I received SE bundled with my scanner & like many others would like to upgrade to AI. According to a post last dated 3-7-02 "Differences between AI & SE" by Anonymous, Anahita replied to Warren, an SE bundled user, confirming that Mr. Kohlers previous reply was correct that an upgrade from SE to AI should cost $49 or less (the price difference between the two). However, after attempting to order online it seems that an upgrade from the bundled version of SE to AI will cost $119 & an upgrade from SE purchased online is $49. Confused, I called LaserSoft USA and was then told the upgrade price was $99 along with an attempt at an explanation as to why those of us who received SE bundled with our scanners had not paid for SE (though I am fairly sure that I paid for it included in the price of my scanner) and therefore not entitled to the upgrade price of $49. Confused? Me too. Thanks.

Upgrade price from SilverFast SE to Ai again explained

Situation 1:
You have purchased SilverFast SE online previously:
You only pay the price difference to full Ai only!

Situation 2:
You have got a SilverFast SE bundled version
You have to pay the normal upgrade price as listed under downloads.

Explanation:
Someone who payed for SilverFast SE with an online purchase, only pays the reduced price (the price difference to Ai),
while someone who did not pay for SilverFast SE since it already came inside the bundle, has to pay the normal upgrade price!
