Upgrade AI 6 w/IT8 to DC PRO-VLT

I assume if I upgrade from AI 6 w/IT8 to DC PRO-VLT I lose the ability to use Silverfast with my Epson scanner? If I want both I have to buy outright a version of DC PRO-VLT, correct?

You could use after the upgrade the Ai + IT-8 and the DCpro without problems.

Does he keep the right to continue to upgrade the Ai + IT8 ( ie to Ai7 etc). ?
