Undocumented New Feature

Postby stan07 » Fri Aug 05, 2005 10:39 pm

Hello,

I just started using SF AI 6.42 and see a new item in the "Histogram" window. On the left side is a red letter N or L which seems to shift the vertical axis of the histogram. I don't see this documented in the instructions or movies. Can someone tell me what this does?

Thanks.

Stan

i seem to remember that the N refers to Number or Count of pixels and L refers to Log scaling of the vertical axis. So in N mode, you see the actual count of pixels on the vertical scale, and L mode is the Log(#pixels)

regards,
Frank
