Trying to reset the serialization file

Postby soulsun69 » Sat Jul 15, 2006 2:24 am

I just recently hooked up my scanner again and installed my Silverfast 6.0.1r39 software. I entered my info and must have entered an O instead of a 0 somewhere, when I hit OK I got a message about restarting and inserting the original program disc, which I did. However, now it doesn't let me do anything even though I keep putting in the right serial number. I read that there was a way to reset it in the FAQ. So I downloaded the SF_Launcher v2.1.3 and followed the instructions but no dialog box comes up, just the same old serial number box. I'm wondering if this process does not work because I'm running an older version. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,

Max

soulsun69,

You mentioned two different versions. Which one do you currently have installed?

Assuming you have the latest version installed you should be able to remove the old serial number by pressing and holding Shift+S+F while clicking the start button. If you are able to remove the serial number and have problems after correctly entering the serial number contact LaserSoft support. It could be that you need a new or updated serial number depending on the age of your original SilverFast.

Hope this helps!
