Transparency Scanning using Quickscan

When I try to scan my 35mm Kodachrome slides using Quickscan mode on my new Plustek Opticfilm 7200i scanner many of the results show only the top half of the slides. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix this problem? I confess to being an elderly and confused amateur.
