Straightening images?

Postby Cary » Mon May 12, 2003 5:48 pm

Is there a way to free-rotate the scan area in SilverFast to correct for an image that is not straight? If there is, I haven't yet found it. I can't believe that they wouldn't include such a basic time-saving feature. Things almost never stay in place for me when I close the scanner lid, and as I was previously using a Umax scanner with Magic Scan, I was always able to correct a slightly skewed document while scanning it. While this is easily done in Photoshop, not being able to drag the edges of the scan area all the way in to the edges of the document throws off any automatic levels adjustment one might want to apply.

No, there is no free rotation in SilverFast, sorry.

We had been talking about that many times and perhaps such a feature will come in the future, but there is no schedule yet.

Eric.
