Hi,
I'm trying to fix some dark artifacts/lines when scanning negatives. I have tried using the Defect marking tool, but to me it doesn't seem to do anything at all, even when set to "defect type: dark defects", and "intensity: 10". What are your experiences with that tool?
So I have also tried making a polygon around the artifact, using the "Mask path pen", and increasing the "detection" and "tile size". This seems to detect, and fix the anomalies ok. But I've got the understanding, that is not the "correct" way of using that tool.
Any suggestions? Some sample images are attached.

Dear user,
the marking tool works incrementally. Try marking the defect more than once.
Kind regards
Arne
