I purchase SilverFast SE (for iMac Intel and the Nikon Coolscan IV ED) yesterday and have spent almost every waking hour "playing with it". I've had much trouble with the ISRD function tool (dust and scratch removal). I "think" I successfully scanned two old, dusty slides with my Nikon Coolscan IV ED where they looked to have most of the specks gone. However, when I then perform the scan, the final product still shows them. BOTTOM LINE PROBLEM: I can't figure out how to get the final scan to have the "dust and scratches" removed. I must be missing a step?
I can't find anything that really tells me all of the steps needed for this process. HELP! Thanks so much.

Re: SRD/ISRD Use Problem
Normaly iSRD is a very straight process, you click on the iSRD button on the lefthand side of the prescanwindow. If you perform a single click on the iSRD button it is used with the default settings clicking it twice will give you another button where you can define individual settings.
I think that maybe you "prefs" got corrupted so please use our Servicebutton in the launcher to set SilverFast back to defaults.
